East Asia Collection
 The East Asia Collection is a library of over 90,000 catalogued books, reference materials, and periodicals written in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.The holdings are strong in the humanities and social sciences and particularly emphasize the history and literature of East Asia. Over 800 periodical titles and more than 300 different yearbooks and annual reports are currently received. In addition, the collection also contains over 1,000 volumes of Western-language reference works. Acquired primarily to support the university's teaching and research programs, these publications offer library users a wealth of materials unavailable elsewhere in the state of Maryland. The collection is under the care of a curator who is a specialist in the field of East Asian studies.
 The Gordon W. Prange Collection is the most comprehensive collection in the world of print publications issued in Japan during the immediate post-World War II years, 1945-1949. The Collection comprises virtually everything published on all subjects during this period - books, pamphlets, newspapers, periodicals, news agency photographs, posters, maps and related archival materials.
Nonprint Media Services Nonprint Media Services is the audiovisual library of the University of Maryland Library System and is located in the Hornbake Library on the University of Maryland Campus at College Park. The Library's collection consists of 16,000+ volumes of videocassettes, 1,500 volumes of videodiscs, and over 1,000 volumes of DVDs. Nonprint also has over 3,000 films, 9,000 audio recordings, 7,500 slides, and equipment. Some specific collections that may be of use to individuals interested in East Asian culture are:
